Two-Section Japanese Kitchen Chest, circa 1910

A  very functional two-section Japanese kitchen chest, known as a Mizuya Dansu. Crafted from hinoki, sugi, yama sugi and keyaki woods, it features attractive copper handles and generous storage. Dating from around 1910, this beautifully made chest combines traditional Japanese craftsmanship with practical functionality, making it ideal for a contemporary interior.
