This exquisite antique chest from Japan was originally custom-made to store accessories worn with kimono—such as obi, obijime, obidome, and hair ornaments. Made from kiri (paulownia wood), it reflects the thoughtful craftsmanship and refined sensibility of traditional Japanese design.
