A Kyoto area two-section Choba Dansu (merchant’s chest) featuring a tea and display cabinet upper section. Traditionally used by merchants for storing ledgers, valuables and tea wares, it combines practical storage with elegant display. Crafted from traditional Japanese timbers with hand-forged iron hardware, it reflects the refined craftsmanship of the late Meiji Period.
