We recently acquired a stunning vintage chest from Japan—originally crafted to store accessories worn with kimono: obi, obijime, and other elegant details of traditional dress. What makes this piece truly special is the material: paulownia wood (kiri), prized for its lightness, fine grain, and natural resistance to humidity and insects.
