Japanese Vintage Kimono Obi Chest
Traditionally in Japan, a Paulownia tree was planted when a daughter was born. Upon her coming of age and marriage, the matured tree was crafted into a beautiful wedding chest to store her Kimono and accessories—symbolizing love, heritage, and new beginnings.
In good working order, all drawers slide as new. This piece will be french polished then waxed and will make it slightly darker.
