Meiji Period Tokyo Region Merchant Chest. Japanese Antique Merchant Chest is known as a Choba Dansu in Japan. It was used in the shop front in pride of place. All the drawers were used to organise and store receipts and ledgers.
It has a super secret drawer. In great condition.
