Matsumoto Choba Dansu Merchant Chest.
Merchant’s Chest or Cho-Ba Dansu are made up of multiple drawers. They were used by shop merchant’s. These chests were in pride of place exhibiting the owner’s prosperity. It is made of Hinoki (Japanese Cedar) and Kiri (Paulownia)
In great condition there are some marks on the top which have been photographed.
