Kiri Dansu or Wedding Chest When a daughter was born in a Japanese family a Paulownia tree was planted and then when she was grown up and ready to marry they cut the tree to make a beautiful Wedding chest to store her Kimono and accessories. Made up of drawers doors and sliders. Exceptional joinery, generous use of Paulownia wood and high quality metal fittings.

Kaki Mae = Kaki is Persimmon wood and Mae means front.
