Double Gifu Region Merchant’s Chest. This antique two-section Choba Dansu merchant chest from Japan’s Gifu region features hand-forged iron hardware. And is crafted from Hinoki and Sugi woods. Custom-designed to reflect the original owner’s taste and wealth, it embodies refined Meiji period craftsmanship.
