Japanese Edo Period Chest of Drawers.
A traditional Japanese Kimono Chest (Isho Dansu).
Isho-Dansu or Clothing Chests were made of either all Paulownia, Zelkova or Cryptomeria for the case. And door and drawer fronts of Paulownia or Zelkova. This chest was used for the storage of Kimono and personal garments. Four drawers and in 2 sections. The drawers are easy to slide.
