ABOUT US

Edo Arts is a Sydney based importer and retailer of Japanese Antiques and Vintage items. We lived in Kyoto, Japan in the early nineties and it was going to be a 1 year stay until we discovered Japanese Antiques, we started buying, collecting, restoring and selling while living there over the following five years. Paul would sell from his stall at the famous temple markets in Kyoto. We established some fantastic contacts and made many friends over that time. The beauty of Japanese antiques is that you can purchase genuine, one off unique pieces beautifully made by master craftsman. The furniture is custom made for the customer so you will not see the same item twice.

We spend a few months of the year in Japan to do our buying and choose each piece ourselves from various secret sources. We do all our own packing and unpacking so we are very hands on and manage all aspects of the business.

We have been trading in Sydney, Australia for over 25 years and have been here at Terrey Hills for 17 years.

We always try to have an extensive range of Japanese Chests (Tansu), Byobu (folding art screens ) scrolls, coffee tables, bronze vases, ceramics, lacquerware, granite lanterns, garden water bowls, kimono and textiles.
