Japanese 1920’s Kodansu Small Chest
Ko means small and Dansu means furniture. It is made to keep ladies accessories in the 1920’s. In great condition. In good condition.The size is D: 270mm x W: 480mm x H: 360mm and the weight is 4.340 Kgs.
A Clothing Chest from Tokyo Region, a Kannon Biraki (Opening Door) in 2 sections. Dated Edo Period Tenpo 8 1837 Wood: Japanese Paulownia (Kiri) . The top section has a pair of hinged doors which open to reveal 4 drawers . The bottom section has 7 drawers and a cash door with secret drawer. In excellent working condition.
