A Clothing Chest from the Tokyo Region also known as a Kannon Biraki (Opening Door) It comes in 2 sections. Dated Edo Period Tenpo 8 1837 Wood: Japanese Paulownia (Kiri). The top section has a pair of hinged doors which open to reveal 4 drawers . The bottom section has 7 drawers and a cash door with a secret drawer.
