This two-section Kaidan Dansu step chest, circa 1890, is a traditional Japanese tansu crafted from hinoki (cypress) and sugi (cedar) woods. Originally used as functional stairs and storage, it showcases traditional craftsmanship and a warm, aged patina.
A great configuration and a sturdy piece in good condition.
They could be used for display and loads of storage.
