A large square platter of Camellias by Hayakawa Yoshinori.Comes in the original signed box and has been exhibited at the 44th Nihon Dento Kogeiten National Traditional Crafts Exhibition and is featured on page 66 of the catalog. It is 50 cm (20 inches) square, 9 cm (3-1/2 inches) tall at the corners and in excellent condition.
Hayakawa Yoshinori was born in Shizuoka in 1946. He apprenticed in Mashiko under Yasuda Takeshi in 1972. Two years later he moved to Ibaraki and opened his own kiln. He has exhibited with the Nihon Togeiten National Ceramics Exhibition, Nihon Dento Kogeiten National Traditional Crafts Exhibition, the Dento Kogei Shinsaku Ten (National Traditional New Arts Exhibition) and Kita-Kanto Art Exhibition among others. He works alongside his wife Yukako, who is also a potter, focusing on functional objects. been Exhibited.
