Gifu Region Mizuya Dansu Kitchen chest (Bottom Section) Sideboard, circa:1910, is a traditional Japanese storage piece crafted from oak and sugi (cedar) wood. Designed for kitchen use, it features sliding doors, drawers, and compartments, showcasing practical Meiji-era craftsmanship with a warm, rustic patina and functional elegance. The top has been reinforced with a strut of timber to allow for heavy weights such a flat screen TV. It not only looks great but also provides great storage.
