A bamboo Shakuhachi that splits into 2 section. In great condition and with a makers mark.

This Shakuhachi offers superior volume, range, scale and tone qualities.

The Shakuhachi was used by the monks of the Fuke Zen of Zen Buddhism in the practice of blowing meditation (suizen).

It is made from the root end of the bamboo culm.
