Antique Kyoto Region Sideboard or Mizuya-Dansu (Kitchen Chest). The construction is a Japanese Cypress frame a Cryptomeria front with Zelkova door panels and drawer fronts. The Hardware is hand beaten copper handles. Because of it’s configuration and dimensions it’s a very versatile chest that can be used for the storage of tableware, linen, liquor, books. Meiji Period 1867-1912. In good condition.
